Yoko Omomi

Yoko Omomi is a Japanese artist, with a main focus on contemporary painting and printmaking, as well as some drawing and installation work. She is also an experienced teacher & lecturer, covering all levels from children to adult, including art college.

Born in Madagascar she spent most of her childhood in Japan. Having studied fine arts in London, Winchester and Barcelona she now lives and works in Munich for over 10 years.

Yoko exhibited her work extensively in England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Spain, Italy and Germany. She won a number of stipends and awards, and received commendations from the renowned Dulwich Picture Gallery in London and the Jerwood Drawing Prize in Cheltenham.

Her artwork can be found in public collections, e.g. at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, or the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlung in Munich.
